Robin Durrant

Robin started his insurance career in 1965 with Eagle Star Group in Ipswich, England and transferred to Vancouver, BC in 1967.  He represented Eagle Star in Vancouver, Edmonton, Toronto, and London, Ontario in marketing underwriting and loss prevention.  In 1974 he joined an American International Group as an Industrial Property Underwriter, and in 1976 he moved to Kelowna and joined Capri Insurance.

Gordon Baughen

Gordon started with Road Transport & General Insurance Company in England September 1964. He emigrated to Canada in July 1966 and joined the Canadian Indemnity Insurance Company in Vancouver, BC (with a short posting in Victoria). He Joined J.T. Obryan and Company Insurance Brokers in Vancouver in March 1970 and transferred to the Kelowna office in 1973 as a marketer and office manager.

Gordon formed Capri Insurance in March 1975 with 3 other partners and purchased the Kelowna office of J.T. Obryan. He opened the Winfield office for Capri in 1976 and the Vernon office of Capri Insurance in November 1978.

Christopher Rigg

Chris has enjoyed a lengthy career in the commercial side of the insurance industry. He moved to Capri Insurance in 1990 after a four year stint with a national broker as a commercial lines marketer.

Chris joined and ultimately ran our marketing department becoming a Partner in the company in 1995. Chris became a member of the Management Committee in 1997. For the past several years he has run our Commercial Lines department in addition to his duties as a commercial producer .

Chris has been an instructor for the Insurance Brokers Association of BC and the Insurance Institute of Canada. He has worked on a wide variety of commercial accounts including national and provincial programs as well as major accounts such as Cominco, Whistler Mountain Corporation and the Roman Catholic Episcopal Corporations of Western Canada.

Tim Miller

Tim joined Capri Insurance in September 1998 as Controller, and is presently Chief Financial Officer and Director of Capri Insurance Services Ltd.

Maria Sundquist

Maria started her insurance career in 1968 with the auto department of Liberty Mutual in Vancouver. From 1973 to 1981 Maria worked for various brokers in Vancouver and Victoria handling personal/commercial lines,claims and marketing. In 1981 Maria moved to the Okanagan and has marketed and serviced commercial lines in Vernon and Kelowna.

In 1999 Maria joined Capri Insurance to manage the 48th Avenue, Vernon office. She is also part of the Capri Insurance marketing team specializing in the Forestry and Construction industry.
